The food was good but not great which isn't a bad thing I just came in with high expectations.

I didn't order from the cafeteria like other patrons but as a party member I was definitely over happy with a nice place to have downtown Hartford. Nice to see it pretty and welcoming! Definitely will make it a must to be back .
We were here today for my Cousin's 50th Birthday party. Never been here before but besides the parking was a challenge but not overly terrible. Inside was very clean and super cool decorative theme towards the outdoors. Nice touch being it is Labor Day weekend. The Staff was personable and welcoming. I was there with a big party so the food was catered. The food was very good . From the broccoli salad to the mac and cheese in a nice touch of both turkey and beef was tender and their own custom sauce with a nice added touch. The bartender's were very good with help pick my family members out certain beers. It was 12 PM so I had a drink that tastes like carrot cake. With a creme taste with a touch of spice was very delicious. Little pricey but worth it with their own unique style. They don't skip on the drinks ether. The Overall experience was a,happy one and they definitely made my Cousin's Birthday party special.
Our first meal here was yesterday 100817. We had the pulled pork (not the sandwich), slaw, baked beans, ribs, mashed sweet potatoes (extra good), and cornbread. Everything was delicious. Good service, and everyone was helpful getting us oriented and finding things on our first visit. We'll definitely return.
Best barbeque in New England. The brisket is great, the burnt ends are crispy, and for my money you can't beat the Texas sausage with jalapenos and cheddar ground in. A good variety with their sauces too. Packed with flavor and a good amount of heat.
Much, much better than going out to eat to end up eating something you could cook at home. The price is moderate, there's a lot of work and time to get meat come out that good. The price is good for what they offer because everything is fresh not frozen.
My first visit and I had a full rack of some of the most awesome ribs, my wife had a half a chicken. They offer three different barbecue sauces, sweet, mild and hot. I was safe and had the sweet and it it was a great BBQ sauce, my wife had mild, But the ribs or the chicken don't even need BBQ sauce, they're cooked and smoked with a dry rub that is awesome by itself. Another customer says she comes here three times a week for all the fresh cooked BBQ food. There is so much more than ribs and chicken, even the sides are different and good.
I got the Mac and cheese, collard greens, and baked beans appetizers. Beans top notch and the greens pretty good.
Got the family meal. Service was spot on from start to finish.
For meat I got full pork ribs and brisket. Both decent but this order was to go and to offer of sauce and none included was disappointing.
