Great food and service! Best wait staff downtown.
Had a great time here after the Dead show on Thanksgiving eve. The owner, Dave, was most hospitable, and it turns out that we're both from the same county in NJ. Music was good and the staff was very friendly and efficient. My wife and I shared a giant, hand-made pretzel. It comes straight from the fryer, hanging on a banana tree, with two dips. It was excellent! I highly recommend this tavern. Thanks to Dave and the rest of the crew for a fun time and good food!
Best Wings in CT, hands down. I love the atmosphere, It's great for a night out with friends, or for a bite to eat before an event at the XL center with my family. With over 30 beers on tap they truly have something for everyone.
Awesome Reuben & Fries. Friendly and attentive barkeep. She knew her beers. The new Hooker Nectar of the Goats is a tribute beer for the Hartford Yard Goats baseball team and it was a very good creamy IPA. The ambiance is very nice and lots of things to look at. They are right next to the XL center which is super convenient after an event. The parking garage and lot are next door.
This place was absolutely packed on the St. Patrick's Day parade. We paid a $20 cover to get in thinking it would be a bit more exclusive, but I've never been in such a crowded bar before. They had the door open to their neighboring bar and people were passing through freely without anybody checking for wristbands, which was annoying considering we paid extra for them. A server backed into my fiance, spilling the tray of beers she was carrying and giving a dirty look as if it was my fiance's fault. The bartenders downstairs were pleasant at least, but we won't be going back.
