Had an amazing time today. Went to the expo at aqua turf and ran into Tom the owner. He was high energy but an awesome down right great guy to talk with. Tried the lime liqueur and was blown away. It was amazing. The lavender is great not my cup of tea but still good. The chai spice is amazing and the birch would be my next one. As we left I found myself wanting more so I jumped on 84 and went to there shop location and took the tour. Bought all three and was amazed on the hand crafted goodness. I know it would be great to expand and grow but hope you stay hand crafted for life. Will definitely be back. Great job to the owners and workers.
What a wonderful experience! Just discovered them today. Everything was absolutely delicious. Looking forward to opening up my sampler pack. I'm sure it won't last long.
Although this shows up as a "distillery" on Google maps, this is actually an "infusionary". They don't produce their own alcohol, rather they import it and then infuse it with flavors such as cucumber, lavender, birch, rose, and Chai spice. Very unique concept. The tour lasts 20 mins, you get to hear about the history behind the company and taste all 6-7 of their flagship flavors. At the end, you get a complimentary cocktail.
When you walk in, you see a really well decorated bar area with their products around. $10 gives you a full flight, a tour and a drink. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable and their products are infusions that are done to perfection. When doing the tasting, I was asked which one I liked the best and I had a hard time choosing since they were all excellent. I ended up buying a sample pack plus an extra sampler of the one distillate not in the pack. The tour ended with a mixed drink of your choice from a menu of interesting and unusual drinks. As much is sourced locally as possible and organic and gluten free all the way. Definitely worth a stop if in the greater Hartford area!
