Believe it or not, this school has prepared for so much for college. The ECE and AP courses here are just what the students need!

I hate the students. That's why I dont focus on them. Attending this school helped me learn a lesson that I will need in college. My academics hits me so much harder than losing a "friend". It forces you to establish more of a focus on your books, not the people you associate with, because 9 times out of 10, they are bad and failing students anyways. There are so many great opportunities AND TEACHERS here, that the students take advantage of. These teachers just want to educate and the students just want to fail I guess. Only the students that want to make it, will.

I have my daughter she it's in wheeler and they have the worst personal assistant for the especial need children in Connecticut,

Being a Bulkeley Student myself, it is just sad to see all these negative reviews here which DO NOT reflect the reality at all. As someone else already said, "they probably did not take advantage of all the opportunities that Bulkeley offers." I would rather give you facts than just say stuff off the top of my head. 1) The staff is amazing, well qualified and will be there for the students whenever they need them. (p.s: teachers even stay after school without getting paid so they can help the students who are slacking in class so they can graduate and get the high school diploma.) 2) Sports teams- nobody plays favors, whoever deserves to play will play. This is for every sport. "Bulkeley's sports teams suck"?! Well, that's not the school's fault! The students are not on the level of other students who have started playing a particular sport since they were kids. Again, it does not depend on the school but on the students who go to the school! 3) At Bulkeley, you can find all sort of community service, internships, clubs, way to be involved with the school etc. You can even start something if you think the school needs it (p.s I started the Dawg Pound which is the student cheering section aka Tribe for Bulkeley) and received a major help from the AD and a staff member which I would say were the reason why the Dawg Pound is still moving forward. Lastly, to conclude all this, Bulkeley is a decent high school, offers a lot of opportunities and in a near future will compete against other high schools with a higher prestige!

it was fun to be there and enjoying most of the teachers and students in the school people who say its a bad school is because they were part of the reason give the school a chance to show your kids they are a part of history and a part of a great school.
