I could do without the homeless people but they are barely noticeable. They actually leave before sunrise and don't show up until after sunset so I guess that's something. Great views of the Capitol and most amenities and city attractions are within a 5 min walk. The pond and playground give the kids some variety along with the famous carousel. The skating rink they put up in the winter is a nice touch.

A nice quick activity. I enjoy the history about the carousel. I also love the additional room they've added, which allows organizations to do outreach and the community to have other events.
The park itself is very beautiful. I really love the fountain center piece. This park is right near the state capital building which is really a pretty sight. I was there to attend a community event. Throughout the year, events happened in this park. Bushnell Park is a great place to go if you have the need a break from the city life and want to be surrounded by nature.
This is actually a beautiful place and their Winter Festival is about to begin with free ice skating and rentals in case you don't have your own! The carousel is a gem from "days gone by" and even just cool to look at if you're unable to go for a spin. Definitely some place where you should plan to be for awhile because there's so much to enjoy, hope you get the chance!!
The place is awesome. The ride is cheap at just a dollar per person. Kids 12 months and younger are free. But you'll still need a ticket. My kids love it. We go every year to see Santa. (Best Santa I've ever seen hands down)
